Biography Walt Majerowicz, PMP, MBA
Management Consultant, ASRC Aerospace

Mr. Majerowicz has over 25 years experience in aerospace project planning and control, including Schedule Management and Earned Value Management (EVM).  He has supported numerous Earth Science programs and projects for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) as planning and schedule manager.  He is currently a Management Consultant for ASRC Aerospace supporting the Program Analysis and Control (PAAC) III contract at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center where he is responsible for the Planning & Scheduling and Earned Value Management disciplines. Mr. Majerowicz also supports the NASA Office of Chief Engineer (OCE) as the Co-Chair of the annual NASA PM Challenge conference, the agency’s premier knowledge sharing and lessons learned event.  Other OCE duties include instructor with the NASA Academy of Program, Project & Engineering Leadership (APPEL) in the area of project management, and supporting agency-wide EVM activities.

Prior to joining ASRC, Mr. Majerowicz held numerous positions in program planning and control at Computer Sciences Corporation, The Boeing Company, and the Martin Marietta Corporation.

Mr. Majerowicz also supports the Standing Review Boards (SRBs) for the Extravehicular Activity (EVA) Systems Project within NASA’s Constellation Program, and the Global Precipitation Measurement (GPM) Project within the Earth Science Projects Division.  These duties include conducting Independent Schedule Assessments and Probabilistic Schedule Risk Analyses of projects’ readiness to transition between life cycle phases for the NASA Independent Program Assessment Office (IPAO). 

Mr. Majerowicz holds an MBA from the University of Baltimore and a Certificate in Technology Management from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech). He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with the Project Management Institute (PMI), and is also a member of PMI’s College of Scheduling (COS) and College of Performance Management (CPM) where he is a member of the training faculty. Mr. Majerowicz is a frequent speaker at project management conferences.  He is also an adjunct faculty member of Georgetown University’s Project Management Certificate Program.

Recent award honors include the NASA Goddard Outstanding Mentor Award, the NASA Public Service Medal, and the PMI Distinguished Contribution Award.
